An Introduction

Who Am I?

Hello! Welcome to all the new kindred spirits who have joined us recently!

It occurred to me that you may like to know a bit about your host of this L.M Montgomery Book Club. Here are some random facts about me.

~I’m a Christian

~I have loved Anne since I was a teenager

~I visited PEI for the first time this summer

~I live in Illinois and have also lived in Arizona

~I’m a former elementary school teacher

~I homeschool my three daughters (my oldest has now graduated!)

~I’ve been married for 21 years

~I’m a dreamer and a poet

~I’m an only child

~I love vanilla rooibos tea, raspberry bonbon lattes, and anything chocolate

~I like meeting one-on-one with friends at coffee shops

~I used to be an Irish dancer (though not a very good one)

~I love teaching children to read

~Picture books are my love language

~I do not like wind (it’s very windy today)

~I would rather read about nature than actually be out in it

~I have a love/hate relationship with my bangs (if I could tell Emily Byrd Starr not to get bangs, I would)

~I love my bed and sleeping too much

~I read too many books at once

~I like wordsearches

~I’m a social introvert, though I used to be painfully shy

~I LOVE leading book clubs

~I’ve published a poetry book (find it HERE)

~I can’t resist a Little Free Library or used book sale

~I love pizza

~I’m a homebody, especially in the evenings

~I taught myself how to use a DSLR camera and own two expensive cameras that I rarely use

~I take too many pictures of sunsets and nature with my phone
